Lutheran Men In Mission (LMM)
What is LMM?
Here, at the Lutheran Church by the Lake (LCBTL), our men’s group is chartered under the auspices of the South Carolina Lutheran Men in Mission. The vision of Lutheran Men in Mission (LMM) is for every man to have a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through an effective men’s ministry in every congregation. All male members of the LCBTL are automatically members of the LMM.
The Lutheran Church By The Lake exists in part today because of the generous support of the South Carolina LMM through their Gift Fund and the New Mission Start Program.
What Happens at Meetings?
Our LCBTL Lutheran Men in Mission focuses on fellowship and serving the various needs of our congregation and community through faith and commitment. This can be in the form of a fundraiser, a project, prayer for those in need, and other focuses. Our meetings blend a good time among Brothers in Christ and faithfulness to His Word. Each meeting begins with prayer and refreshments followed by business, study, and finally recreation! Corn-hole is a favorite! Join us for our monthly meetings!
Who Can Join LMM?
All men who are members of Lutheran Church By The Lake are automatically members of LMM. Our congregational chapter is part of a bigger organization sponsored by the ELCA SC Synod. It is from this larger organization that our church has benefited with financial support over the years for building our original building as well as the more recent construction of the ARK. All men are welcome and encouraged to join us in fellowship and faith!
Our Mission
