Camp Grand
This past Fourth of July week Camp Grand wrapped up their 13th camp as Camp Grand ‘Ole Opry’.
Yup, we went country!
It’s a community event of an innovative VBS. A Grand time was had by all, 48 campers and about 40 adult volunteers. With classrooms, music, crafts, and more each morning. Followed by a return visit in the afternoon for more “Fun In The Son” with visits to the pool, tubing on the lake, and a Water Palooza, which included a 30’ duel lane slip-n-slide, kiddie pool & slide, and water guns. Yup, everybody got wet!
A shoutout to our volunteers, the adults who gave their time and financial resources. As well as our corporate sponsors: Wesley Commons, Plum Branch Yacht Club, Michelles Pizza, SLV POA, and Capital Builders. And of course, our host the Lutheran Church By The Lake.
Registration will start next year in April for our 14th Camp Grand during the week of July 4th open to all 4 - 14 year olds.

Last day with our theme of ‘Grand Slam’ (rounding all the bases for God) we attended a Green Jackets baseball game and rooted for a different Grand Slam. The evening started off by meeting their mascot Auggie and walking the infield.
